Innovation and Design Inspired by Bruno Munari | Part 2

Jun 1, 2022

Bruno Munari (1907-1998) was an influential Italian artist, designer, and author known for his innovative and multidisciplinary approach to design. He merged art and technology, emphasizing simplicity, functionality, and user involvement. Munari's work played a significant role in shaping modern design in Italy, and his ideas continue to inspire designers worldwide.

Design and innovation

As you can imagine, the world of design and innovation is constantly evolving, and many teams strive to embrace new approaches to develop unique products and solutions. In this context, we have sought to distinguish ourselves by using the innovative design method of Bruno Munari, combined with new technologies and, as mentioned in the first part of the article, AI. Through an iterative and user-centered approach, our goal is to create experiences that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Analysis and Research

The initial phase of the design process is based on in-depth analysis of the context, goals, and user needs. This phase draws inspiration from Munari's methodology, which places particular emphasis on observing and understanding user behaviors and expectations. Through interviews, surveys, and both online and offline tests, the team gathers valuable information to thoroughly understand the needs and preferences of users.

Ideation and Prototyping:

Once the necessary information is gathered, we move on to the ideation and prototyping phase. In line with Munari's approach, brainstorming sessions are organized to generate innovative ideas and creative solutions to address the challenges identified in the analysis phase. These ideas are then translated into prototypes that allow for rapid evaluation of the proposed solutions and further refinement based on feedback received.

Iteration and Evaluation:

One of the distinctive features of Munari's design method is the importance given to continuous iteration. It is crucial to understand the significance of continuously evaluating and improving one's work. The developed prototypes are tested in real-life situations and undergo evaluation to ensure they meet the expectations and needs of users. This cycle of iteration and evaluation is repeated until a final product is achieved that fully reflects the team's objectives and the feedback expressed by users.

Closed Beta and Community Interaction:

For those who may not be aware, we are pleased to announce that our product is currently in the closed beta phase. During this phase, we are building and improving the product through continuous interaction with the community of existing and new users who come from the waitlist. These users have the opportunity to have a sneak peek at the features, provide valuable feedback, and actively contribute to the public development of the product.

Become a Beta Tester:

If you haven't had the opportunity to join the waitlist for Theta's closed beta, we invite you to do so now.

Be among the first to experience Theta and become part of our community.

// The first book I read by Munari was "Da cosa nasce cosa" ("From What Comes What"), and from there, my life changed. I discovered a new perspective.

Take care

Gianluca
